Mugla Governor Fatih Sahin reported that they work with various contacts for Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and The Netherlands to attract more tourists to come to Mugla.    

According to a written statement from the Mugla Governorship, it states that Sahin had the meetings with some state ministers, district governors, airline companies, tour operators, media companies and Turkish travel agency representatives and on behalf of the improvements of the relationships between Germany and Mugla. During his visit in Germany, the interview of Chief Editor of Tourist Aktuel Magazine to promote the region was recorded, 'Mugla wants to be stronger in Germany. 200 thousands tourists come to Turkey from Germany a year. This number is not enough. We carry promotions of world known Bodrum, Fethiye and Marmaris to German customers, travel agencies and airline companies. Our target is to increase to 1 million German tourists in the next 3 years. We trust Mugla's potential and believe that we will hit this target. 132 beaches, forests, numerous rivers, cultural assets,ports, sport activities,walking trails, surfing, paragliding and many more activities will be explored, we are waiting for their visitors. The statement continued 'By saying that the all inclusive system plays an important role in Mugla, ' The tourists do not spend their holiday time in the hotels. They want to do more activities. The capacity of the beds is 300 thousands. Most of them is composed of hotels with stars. Most of the tour operators are ready to launch their operations. They are TUI, THOMAS COOK and FTI. Schauinsland travel agent has added Aegean Shores in their programs. It will start with 20 hotels in Izmir and Dalaman in 2013'.
