Smile! You are in Marmaris... Because Marmaris is one of the most beautiful districts in Mugla and one of the prettiest coastal towns in Turkey. Resadiye Peninsula and Kerme Bay are on its west, Ula is on its north, Balan and Karadag Mountain and Gunluk Hills are on its east; it is also surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea on its south. The island of Adakoy is connected to mainland, sits on the secluded side of Marmaris Bay. The islands of Bedir, Keci and Guvencin are located in front of it. Castle neighbourhood established on the hill which stretch out towards sea is the oldest area of Marmaris. It later has spread down the hill and along coast.

Thanks to its Mediterranean climate, it provides swimming even winter months. Pine forests, high mountains, orient sweet gum trees (Liquidamber Orientalis) and broad-leave pine trees consist of its plant cover.
