Turunc which is located on the north east part of the Bozburun peninsula at the south west of Turkey and is a small town where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean. It is known as a beautiful bay of breaktaking geography of the south Aegean region and is surrounded by small and large islands, fiords, sandalwood trees, olive groves, the greenery cover of the pine forests. Palamut Hill is 920 metres high  on the west, Eren Hill is 817 metres high on the south west, Yumru and Mersinli Hills both are 350 metres high forming watersheds add to the breaktaking scenery of the Aegean Sea and they also form the Bays of Turunc.

Keci Island at the entry the Marmaris Gulf, Aksaz Gulf, Yılancık Island, Ekincik Bay, Dalyan Delta and the coast following Iztuzu Beach reaches all the bays and forelands of Fethiye's and Gocek's coastlines. Additionally, the offsets of Golgeli Mountains are the items of this spectacular view that can be watched from the hills of Turunc. It is the first bay overlooking to open sea in Marmaris Gulf. Turunc is 9 km away from Icmeler and 19 km to Marmaris centre. There are regular bus services as well as boat transportaions. It is 110 km to Dalaman Airport and 170 km to Bodrum Airport. By the way, Icmeler street market is held every saturday if you fancy buying the best local products.
