The amphitheatre on the west slope of the Acropolis has a capacity of 5000 people. It faces south west according to Anatolian traditions. The plan resembles a Hellenistic amphitheatre. It leans back to the slope behind it.

The orchestra is round-shaped and is at the same level as the low rows. There are 33 rows of seats. The remains of the west side of the theatre belongs to a basilica style Church. The others belonged to Roman Baths and the temple.
